Refund policy
This policy applies to purchases directly from 0086Tech. Contact 0086tech@gmail.com or our Contact page (/pages/contact) with your order number. Mandatory consumer cancellation, repair, replacement and refund rights take priority over this policy.
1. Cancelling before dispatch
Before build work or special purchasing begins: you may cancel for a full refund. We do not deduct an automatic payment-processing or restocking fee.
After you authorise bespoke work: contact us promptly. If no statutory right requires a different outcome, a voluntary cancellation may involve reasonable, evidenced and genuinely unrecoverable costs for approved design work, fabrication or non-returnable special components. We provide an itemised calculation, credit recoverable or reusable items and refund the balance. We do not automatically forfeit your entire deposit or impose a fixed percentage penalty.
If we cancel because we cannot deliver the agreed order, or applicable law entitles you to cancel for our failure, you receive the refund required for that situation. Our costs are not deducted from a legally required refund.
2. Change-of-mind returns after delivery
Standard ready builds: you may request a voluntary return within 14 calendar days after delivery if the system is unused beyond reasonable inspection, complete and in its original condition. Please wait for return instructions and dispatch within 14 calendar days after authorisation unless another period is agreed. Equivalent protective packaging is acceptable if the original packaging is unavailable.
For an eligible voluntary return, you pay the disclosed original delivery charge and reasonable return transport costs. We refund the product price after inspection. We do not charge a fixed restocking fee. Any lawful deduction for diminished value must reflect actual loss caused by handling beyond reasonable inspection and will be explained.
Configured-to-order and bespoke MOD builds: we do not offer an additional voluntary change-of-mind return after delivery. Statutory withdrawal rights, where applicable, and remedies for faulty, unsafe, incorrect or misdescribed goods remain available. Choosing standard catalogue parts does not automatically make a product legally exempt from a cooling-off right.
3. Damage, wrong items and faults on arrival
Inspect your package and system as soon as reasonably possible. Please report visible transit damage within 48 hours and faults discovered during initial setup within 7 calendar days to help us investigate promptly. These are assistance targets, not deadlines that cancel your warranty or statutory rights. Photos, serial numbers and an unboxing video can help, but a video is not a condition of a valid claim.
If the system appears wet, leaking or electrically unsafe, stop using it and disconnect power if safe to do so. We investigate and arrange the appropriate repair, replacement, price reduction or refund. Your legal right to a particular remedy is preserved; you do not have to accept endless repair attempts.
For a confirmed delivery error, transit damage on a shipment arranged by us, or a covered defect reported within 30 calendar days after delivery, we arrange or reimburse reasonable approved transport both ways. Where applicable law requires us to cover transport outside that period, we do so. Other commercial warranty claims follow our Warranty (/pages/warranty).
4. Returning a system safely
Contact us with the order number, affected items, issue and requested resolution.
We provide a case reference, service destination, packing instructions and the allocation of shipping and customs costs. A statutory notice is not invalid just because you do not yet have a case reference.
Back up data, remove unnecessary personal information and pack the system securely. Do not dismantle an open-loop cooling system unless instructed.
Use the agreed tracked and appropriately insured shipping service. Keep the handover receipt.
Do not send goods to a business address without confirming that it is the correct return destination. A component-only return or an approved local repair may be offered when suitable. These options do not reduce remedies relating to the complete PC.
5. Inspection and refunds
We aim to inspect a returned product within 5 business days of receipt and initiate an approved refund within a further 5 business days, or sooner where the law requires. If a statutory refund is due before inspection or return, we follow that rule. We explain any delay and keep you updated.
Refunds go to the original payment method and transaction currency where possible, unless a lawful alternative is agreed. Your bank or provider controls when the credit appears and any exchange-rate conversion. Store credit is offered only with your agreement; it does not replace a refund you are entitled to receive.
For our error or a legally required refund, delivery and other recoverable costs are handled as required by applicable law. Import taxes paid directly to an authority may require a separate reclaim; we supply reasonable supporting documents. This does not exclude reimbursement obligations that the law places on us.
6. Exclusions and complaints
Damage caused by misuse or an unrelated customer modification is assessed on its facts and is not automatically treated as a manufacturing defect. A missing box, opened case or unrelated upgrade does not automatically cancel all rights. We explain any rejection and offer available next steps.
Nothing in this policy prevents you from contacting a consumer authority, court or payment provider. A chargeback or payment dispute follows the provider's process and applicable law; this policy does not guarantee the outcome for either party.
